‘Absolute’ly perfect for Hyde ParkA temporary structure from the brand new Absolute range was star of the show at an event on Hyde Park’s Serpentine Lake. The 15m x 25m building, which featured a distinctive curved roof profile, was constructed on a giant floating pontoon over the lake to form the venue for the official unveiling of the new ‘Isis’ sculpture which will reside on the lake’s shore. Due to lack of space and access the pontoon was constructed at the far end of the lake and the structure assembled on top before being carefully floated across the lake to the correct position. Gables, panels and the interior décor were then fitted whilst in-situ. The structure required perfect weighting to ensure it stayed in place. A press launch and evening function was successfully held in the venue. The Absolute range was launched earlier this year. Designed and manufactured by Spaciotempo to the specifications of sister company Owen Brown (who supply the buildings for special events in the UK and abroad), the Absolute features curved wall panels, a choice of 3 roofing designs and enhanced wall, roof and guttering – enabling unsightly down pipes to be concealed and ensuring a clean look to the structure. |
