Established for over eighty years the store supplies a wide-range of products for the family and home. Requirement: The firm was embarking on a major refurbishment and expansion project, which involved building a second store on the premises and also completely refurbishing the original store. To ensure no business was lost, a third temporary building was required for retail space while the work was taking place. Solution: Spaciotempo installed a 20m x 35m temporary building with a 4m eave height, a double skinned air-filled roof system to ensure a high degree of insulation and minimal condensation, 4 pedestrian doors (2 of which were fire exits) double glazed windows and a 5m x 3m Gazebo for an entrance canopy. Although Camp Hopson initially hired the temporary building to cover the expansion project, they ended up purchasing to accommodate high demand during Christmas and January sales. In the interim period the building was to be dismantled, cleaned and put into storage until the following Christmas. Making full use of existing space, the temporary building was installed in their car park, which was adjusted accordingly: kerbs and obstacles removed, under floor ducks put in place and manhole covers installed to cover the aluminium frame uprights when the building was not in use. Benefit: The ability to easily juggle merchandise and employees about as required ensured a complicated and lengthy renovation project was carried out without loosing any trade or operational days. The choice of purchase has ensured maximise profits during the busy Christmas period and January sales. |
