“We have specified Spaciotempo temporary structures before for storage purposes, so this deal was a natural evolution of the relationship when we had a new requirement. The flexibility of the Spaciotempo offering has enabled us to overcome space constraints on site and allowed us to meet our stringent need for security. Despite being a temporary building, it provides decent working conditions, protected from the elements and is totally secure. Featuring a roller shutter door, access is only enabled via key entry and due to the lack of groundworks we have been able to position the building in the confined space between trees and existing lanscaped areas, in full view of our security cameras.

Furthermore, when the original project was completed, a predicted upturn in a separate business area resulted in the need for a warm, dry storage area. The versatility of the building meant it was equally able to fulfill this role. With the first project funding the initial outlay, this is an extremely cost effective ongoing solution for us.”

Case Study

Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe has extended the hire of a Spaciotempo temporary building after it proved to excel in more than just the intended application.

The company originally specified the 10 x 20 x 5.2 metre, aluminum framed building on a three month rental contract at its headquarters in the West Midlands, which acts ad the centre for all aspects of the European business operation. The structure was chosen to provide a secure storage and workshop facility for the refurbishment of one of its customer’s high-specification telecommunications HGVs – which effectively serves as an emergency mobile telephone exchange.

However, once complete, Operations Planning and Supply Chain Development Manager, David Macready realised that the building could be put to further use protecting components from the recent protecting components from the recent inclement weather and subsequently extended the terms. When the next of Fujitsu’s five specialist HGVs requires refurbishment work, the building will revert to its original purpose.
