The value of vintage Ferraris has gone through the roof in recent years, which the rarest models worth up to £30 million. For family-run, GTO Engineering, a company which specialises in vintage Ferraris, business is booming and new purpose-built premises are being developed to meet customer demand.

GTO Engineering needed an interim workshop quickly while the new premises were developed, enabling the business to continue running smoothly, servicing and repairing Ferraris and making rare space parts, in a temporary state-of-the-art space.

Case Study

We supplied a 30m x 15m workshop on a 4.2m eave, linked to a 20m x 10m structure, providing a total of 650 square metres of workshop and office space.

The high-tech workshop has all the heating, lighting, fixtures and fittings and security features which you would expect in a modern, energy efficient unit. Scott Jameson, Spaciotempo’s Managing Director, explains how we were able to provide the perfect home for GTO’s highly-skilled engineers.

We do a lot of work within the motoring trade, from projects like this to fully-fitted car showrooms, because our buildings are so flexible. And because there’s no ground work involved in installation, GTO’s workshop was erected in double quick time.”

 Frame: hard pressed, 4 groove aluminium box profile – snow loading BS6399 and wind loading BS6399, equivalent to permanent buildings.

 Roof and Gables: White PVC coated polyester fabric flame retardant to BS7837 = thermo roof and gables

 Doors: 3 single personnel exit doors; 3 manually operated roller shutter doors.
