The new facility had to: \- Provide a durable and long-term storage solution. \- Be strategically positioned within the port for seamless cargo movement. \- Offer flexibility to accommodate a range of storage and distribution needs for various tenants. Spacious and versatile interior, featuring roller shutter doors and an innovative design that maximizes storage capacity. Strategically located next to the docks, this new warehouse expands ABP's storage capabilities, supporting seamless cargo movement. Next ## The solution Building on a strong partnership, Spaciotempo swiftly designed and installed a semi-permanent warehouse at the Port of Garston. Site preparations took place in Autumn 2022, and construction was completed in time for the first occupants to move in at the start of the new year. Each section is equipped with 5m high roller shutter doors, allowing easy access for large shipping containers. Spaciotempo’s knee bracing system ensures safe stacking, allowing pallets to be stored right up to the apex. The warehouse joins ABP’s existing Spaciotempo structures, including a parallel cargo storage warehouse and a three-sided industrial canopy installed in 2019. With this latest addition, ABP now boasts 3,894m² of Spaciotempo-built covered storage space at the Port of Garston. "Throughout its lifespan, the new building will accommodate all types of cargo passing through the port—whether it needs to be stored temporarily or positioned near the harbour for immediate transport."
