    ## Avonline Networks – Industrial – Temporary Storage Building

Avonline Networks, a leading network communications provider in the UK, required additional storage space at their main Bristol hub. Faced with spatial constraints and the need for an interior racking solution, they turned to Spaciotempo for a tailored temporary building that met their operational demands.

  ## Requirements

 

Avonline Networks needed a semi-permanent storage solution to accommodate increased demand while ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The proposed location had only 1m of clearance on either side, making the project particularly challenging. Additionally, the client required an interior racking system to optimise storage capacity and streamline distribution processes.

 

 

 

 

 

  ## The solution

 

After little deliberation on service and quality, Spaciotempo got to work on the 12m x 37m x 5m installation, with the non-standard length maximising all available site space in tight surroundings. In the short-term it will be used for storage, but as it was purchased it has all the versatility to be deployed as a workshop or even something completely different in the future.

### Working to tight spaces

As the space we had to work with was so tight – with our structure to erected in the midst of multiple existing buildings – the covered warehouse and workshop had to be exactly flush in the pre-agreed spot down to the millimetre and we were given landmarks to indicate the exact position.

Thankfully, with our installation techniques, we only require 1m of operational space around the perimeter of the frame, so this didn’t prove to be a problem.

What’s more, Spaciotempo were briefed that they would be working around the operations of the company so not to disrupt production as best as possible.

Harry Salter, Area Sales Manager for Spaciotempo, explains:

“Being a live site, with lots of activity and forklifts in operation at all times, the Spaciotempo team had to be mindful of the impact they were having during the installation and did an excellent job in keeping the required space for our own men and machinery to an absolute minimum.
