    ## The customer

The ReUsers is a second-hand charity store that sells a wide range of high-quality preloved items donated by the public. By giving unwanted items a second life, the charity helps to reduce landfill contributions while creating employment opportunities for people who face significant challenges when entering the job market.

  ## Requirements

 

In 2022, ReUsers approached Spaciotempo for support in enhancing their donation facilities and making it easier for customers to drop off items. The charity needed a more convenient and sheltered area where donated items could be sorted, organised and cleaned before being prepared for sale in the store.

As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility, Spaciotempo donated a 4.6m x 4.5m x 3.2m canopy structure, creating a dedicated drive-through donation station. The new facility provided a practical, weather-protected space that improved the overall donation process for both customers and staff.

Following years of daily use, the canopy became an important part of ReUsers’ operations. Unfortunately, the structure was damaged by a reversing lorry, leaving it unusable. ReUsers once again turned to Spaciotempo for assistance.

  ## The solution

 

Recognising the importance the donation canopy brings to the charity’s operations, Spaciotempo not only carried out necessary repairs but also covered the costs of the work. As part of the improvements, an additional roller shutter door was installed to further enhance the usability and security of the structure.

The new roller shutter door has provided the store with a more secure working environment. It also offers greater protection from the elements, by closing the shutter door the space becomes weather-secure, helping to protect donations and allowing the space to be heated easier in the winter months.

With help from Spaciotempo the newly refurbished donation station allows Reusers to continue its important work. As a business committed to supporting local organisations and communities, Spaciotempo is proud to have played a part in helping Reusers continue making a positive social and environmental impact.
