GTO Engineering needed an interim temporary workshop quickly while the new premises were developed, enabling the business to continue running smoothly, servicing and repairing Ferraris and making rare spare parts, in a temporary state of the art space.
We supplied a 30m x 15m temporary structure on a 4.2m eave, linked to a 20m x 10m structure, providing a total of 650 square metres of workshop and office space.
The high-tech temporary building has all the heating, lighting, fixtures and fittings and security features which you would expect in a modern, energy efficient unit. Scott Jameson, Spaciotempo’s Managing Director, explains how we were able to provide the perfect home for GTO’s highly-skilled engineers. “The company came to us for a timely and cost-effective temporary solution and that’s what we’re all about. No business can afford to stop trading during building work or improvement projects and we’re happy to help out in the mean-time. We do a lot of work within the motoring trade, from projects like this to fully-fitted car showrooms, because our buildings are so flexible. And because there’s no ground work involved in installation, GTO’s workshop was erected in double quick time.”
Founder and Managing Director at GTO, Mark Lyon commented, “These cars are highly prized, very rate and can be extremely expensive, but demand for their repair and restoration has never been stronger. We were bursting at the seams at our old headquarters, so new premises are a natural progression for the business. Spaciotempo’s solution was seamless, avoiding costly downtime for the business – an ideal solution!”
