Westminster Waste – Industrial – Recycling Process Area

REQUIREMENT:

Family run recycling business Westminster Waste are leading the way in ensuring that zero waste goes to landfill. They turned to Spaciotempo for a rapid solution due to an increase in the volume of waste. Working collaboratively, we provided them with two buildings one to be used as a sorting facility which was 30m by 60m on an 8m eave and another as a workshop facility measuring 10m by 20m on a 5m eave.

SOLUTION:

Recycling is big business! Which is true for this family-run recycling company, who lead the way in ensuring that zero waste goes to landfill. Driven by this promise, Westminster Waste has grown considerably and came to Spaciotempo as wanted a temporary industrial building to be used as a processing plant for recycling waste – coming mainly from construction companies – enabling them to manage increasing volumes of waste more efficiently.

Using our expert knowledge within the temporary building sector we worked collaboratively with Westminster waste to provide them with two industrial temporary buildings. We provided them with two buildings one to be used as a sorting facility which was 30m by 60m on an 8m eave and another as a workshop facility measuring 10m by 20m on a 5m eave.  This collectively created an additional 2000 sqm of temporary storage space, providing plenty of room for Westminster Waste’s fleet to load, unload and process waste inside the temporary structures.

Both buildings consisted of an aluminium frame which meets the same British Safety Standards as a permanent building, single sheet steel cladding, single personnel exit doors, electric roller shutter doors, LED lights and guttering. The main difference is their workshop facility had a thermo insulated roof and gable. This reduces heat loss and gain and is ideal for a building that staff will be working in, due to the minimisation of condensation and the ability to control the temperature.
