Spaciotempo installs largest temporary building at Husqvarna

A temporary building spanning 30 metres by 100 metres long, the largest single span building ever supplied in the UK by Spaciotempo, has been installed at Husqvarna’s site in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

The Husqvarna Group, the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including robotic mowers, garden tractors, chainsaws and trimmers, will use the building to store parts and spares for its extensive product range.

Husqvana has acquired the temporary building via a lease purchasing agreement and, although the building is temporary in terms of its foundations and construction, it will be a permanent addition to the company and will be in consistent use.

Scott Jameson, Managing Director at Spaciotempo, explains: “Many companies are now using what is classed as a temporary building for a permanent solution. This saves considerable time and money in planning and development, and can be built much faster than a traditional building while giving the same end result.

“It allows the business to expand at a much quicker rate without compromising the day-to-day running and production. The beauty of lease purchasing is that you can do all of this on a flexible payment plan so the financial impact is as minimal as the physical impact.”
