A fire to the buildings of Perthshire Caravans in Scotland created havoc last year during the busy summer period.
Rendering the offices, part of the showroom and the workshops inoperable the owners of the long standing Scottish caravan dealer and leisure park owner knew they couldn’t get back up and running with a permanent solution in time for the cold weather period.
Having considered and rejected off-site rental options to provide workshop and storage space, Ian McCormack at Perthshire Caravans found Spaciotempo, a Staffordshire based provider of temporary and semi-permanent buildings for the industrial, retail and the sports & leisure sectors, calling them in to assess the site and offer a solution.
A swift site visit to assess the requirements resulted in a proposal for a 300sqm building with building ridge height of 6.68m, high enough to accommodate the largest caravans and motor homes. The building was able to be erected on-site complete with lighting, guttering, roller shutter doors and personnel doors. The thermo UPVC roof and steel cladding walling completed the installation.
The ability to locate the building on the site was a major attraction for owner, Ian, whilst the quick reaction times from the Spaciotempo team proved critical in the acceptance of the proposal.
“The temporary building supplied, delivered and installed by the Spaciotempo team was ideal for our needs whilst waiting for our new building to be up and running. We wouldn’t have managed without it. The speed of service was excellent and both the installation and de-installation was completed quickly, thoroughly and professionally. The building provided the indoor space we needed as winter approached and the opportunity to have the building on our own site meant it was pretty much business as normal for the workshop staff.”
