Spaciotempo: Quality 45 Years in the Making
For 45 years, Spaciotempo has been at the cutting-edge of innovative temporary structures. We have pushed the boundaries of what it means to be ‘temporary’, constantly erecting modular buildings that are more and more suited to long-term use, thanks to our forward thinking and intuitive use of materials. Here, Managing Director, Scott Jameson, discusses the success behind the business, and how Spaciotempo has become the go-to brand for temporary buildings.
Temporary building experts
“What sets us apart from the competition, is our genuine passion for our customers,” says Scott. “When we get a call from a customer whose property has been destroyed through fire or flood damage, it’s imperative that we act fast. If we don’t provide an emergency solution quickly, it’s the livelihood of our customers that will be directly affected, and that’s not something we can allow to happen.”
Scott Jameson has been part of the Spaciotempo team since 2011. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the modular building sector, and knows a thing or two about innovative temporary structures.
“Quality is absolutely everything in this industry, and Spaciotempo quality is the best in the business. Our temporary buildings are built to withstand everything the British weather can throw at them – wind, hail and snow. We use only the strongest and most durable temporary building materials, such as anodised aluminium frames, which meets strict fire and safety codes.
“We provide secure, lockable doors and windows, and ensure our temporary buildings have the highest quality insulation, heating systems and cooling methods, according to our customers’ requirements.
“Spaciotempo quality is about pushing the boundaries, exploring new possibilities, and staying at the forefront of innovative building materials and techniques.”
Innovative temporary structures
Spaciotempo certainly walks the walk when it comes to temporary building engineering. Some of our innovative temporary structures have been in use for more than 25 years, which just goes to show their build quality, and how expertly designed for day-to-day business use they are.
Our brand is streets-ahead when it comes to bespoke temporary building installations too. In the case of Wilmslow Garden Centre, Spaciotempo was commissioned to provide replacement facilities when a fire ripped through the property and destroyed multiple greenhouses.
But the demand didn’t end there. Wilmslow Garden Centre required staff and customer facilities too, including toilets, a break room and customer café, to keep the business trading during the busy Christmas period. Not only that, but Spaciotempo had to act fast, in order to minimise disruption to the business. The new structure was built in just five days, and staff were able to continue trading in a comfortable and well-lit environment.
“The great thing about cases like this,” Scott says, “is just how much camaraderie you feel onsite. The feeling of putting a disaster-relief building into place is different from any other. You know you’re helping to keep someone’s business – someone’s livelihood – from suffering. That’s a personal achievement, one that is instantly gratifying.”
Spaciotempo quality rolls on into 2018
Scott and the team have big plans for the business in 2018.
“Following the New Year, we’ll be pushing our temporary structures even further. Every job we take on is different to the last, and we look forward to even more challenges ahead. Of course, we’ll continue to innovate, which might mean looking at materials and techniques with fresh eyes.
“Spaciotempo are temporary building experts, and maintaining that title means there’s never a dull moment and there’s never time to slow down.”
