Uttoxeter-based crisp manufacturer, Glennans, happily enjoying a boom in demand for their speciality vegetable based snacks, looked no further than a neighbouring business to fulfil their pressing requirement for a additional temporary warehouse space.
Spaciotempo, located opposite Glennans on the Dovefields Industrial Estate, is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of temporary buildings and temporary warehouses, and was able to react quickly and efficiently to the request for the long-term hire of storage facilities. A 10m x 20m aluminium framed structure was erected within a month of the initial enquiry to provide valuable additional capacity.
The temporary warehouse, which has been hired for an initial period of two years, was installed on-site, adjacent to the existing factory and installed directly onto a hard standing surface. Two roller shutter doors were specified for fork lift use with an additional personnel door located to one side for the safe passage of staff and pedestrians.
Manufactured to BS standards, the temporary warehouse has snow and wind loadings equivalent to permanent structures and features a durable PVC coated polyester roof, which allows a full eaves height of 3.2m; perfect for ceiling height racking and shelving systems.
David Lloyd Jones is Logistics Manager for the crisp company. He was delighted at being able to work with another local business.
“We only moved in to our current premises three years ago, but business has taken off to the extent that we already need some further space. We were able to work with an excellent local company, Spaciotempo, whose team has worked tirelessly to help us solve our storage problem. They came on site to erect the building with no disruption to our business and we have been able to make full use of the temporary space from the moment the building was handed over.”
