Celtic Travel
Multi-functional workshop facility
The Customer
Located in picturesque Llandiloes, Wales, Celtic Travel is a well-established company providing reliable transport throughout Wales, the UK, and Ireland. Since taking over in 2006, the Davies family has expanded not only to offer Coach Holidays and School Transport, but also to provide a range of Public transport services across Mid Wales and the surrounding areas.
Requirements
Celtic Travel has continued to expand, making it necessary for them to invest in a new facility that fits in the beautiful landscape in which they are situated.
The business needed a solution that avoided the lengthy build time of a traditional building but, ideally, looked like a permanent building.
The space also needed to be functional; high doors were required for the high vehicles in their fleet, and the building would also need to serve as both a test lane and a workshop.
The solution
The solution provided by Spaciotempo was a highly customized, rapid-build structure that met Celtic Travel's dual requirements for speed and specific functionality.

Key Design and Collaboration Points
Spaciotempo approached the project with a collaborative design process, ensuring the final structure aligned perfectly with the clients vision.
(02)
Custom Functional Features
The design incorporated all of the client's main requests:
High Doors: The building was engineered to include high doors to allow high vehicles to move in and out easily.
Internal Partition: A design was implemented to split the workshop into a dedicated test lane and the central workshop part, complete with a partition wall.
Temporary Structure, Permanent Look: Although the structure was classified as a temporary building, the client requested it to look like a permanent building. Spaciotempo delivered a solution that "you wouldn't know that it wasn't a permanent building by looking at it and the materials it's built out of".

Outcome
The finished building delivered by Spaciotempo enabled rapid deployment, enhanced operations, and long-term value for Celtic Travel.
The building's strategic position allows staff to oversee the entire depot and monitor what's happening in the yard.
The split design successfully accommodates a dedicated test lane and a large workshop, with high doors as requested, allowing high vehicles to come in and out.
