Tetrosyl is Europe’s largest manufacturer and supplier of car care products producing over 2,500 lines, including T-Cut, CarPlan, and Triplewax. With a global reach, their products are supplied to over 100 countries from 4 manufacturing sites across the UK. When additional warehouse space was required at their Rochdale site, they turned to Spaciotempo for a complete solution.

Business Requirement

Tetrosyl required a new warehouse structure to increase storage capacity for pallets of finished goods, enabling them to better support growing operational demands.

With inbound pallet movements on the rise, the existing facilities at Tetrosyl's Rochdale site were no longer able to adapt efficiently during peak periods, creating capacity challenges and delaying operations. The new structure needed to provide a scalable, high‑capacity storage solution that would accommodate the increased number of pallets.

Innovative Design Process

After an initial site visit from Josh at Spaciotempo, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be an off‑the‑shelf solution. The structure needed to accommodate a compact racking design that aimed to maximise on-site storage. The best way to do this within the available area of the site was to capitalise on vertical space. Josh was able to navigate this by suggesting a 9m eave height, something new to Spaciotempo as we continue to develop and innovate our product and offering. Due to the limited space, a 24m clear‑span design allowed for a compact, high‑density racking layout, ensuring every square metre of the building's footprint was utilised efficiently.

The Installation

The installation presented a number of challenges, primarily due to the extremely tight elevations in relation to existing buildings and surrounding walling. The specified 9m eave height made the build additionally challenging, becoming the tallest structure Spaciotempo have delivered to date. These factors meant careful planning and precision installation were essential throughout the build process.

With few providers able to deliver warehouse buildings at 9m eave heights, the successful installation demonstrates the technical capability of Spaciotempo's in-house installation teams.

The finished result

The completed 24m x 34m building delivers 816 square metres of high‑performance warehousing with a full 9‑metre height to the eaves. The structure features single‑sheet steel cladding and an insulated thermo roof to support internal conditions.

With two personnel doors and two electric roller shutter doors, access is smooth and efficient, keeping goods moving without disruption.

More importantly, the warehouse has completely transformed how Tetrosyl handles inbound pallets. The additional capacity provides space for 2,000 pallets, removing pressure during peak periods and eliminating unnecessary pallet handling. Installing a Spaciotempo structure has introduced a flexible storage solution that can grow with the business. Finished goods can now be stored externally in a purpose‑built structure, freeing up space and streamlining operations across the site.
