Lookers Audi Stirling get car showroom in double time!
Relieved Stephen Marchetti, Head of Business at Stirling Audi, was delighted by how quickly Spaciotempo stepped in to save the day.
He said: “Our main showroom is being replaced as part of our expansion plan. We needed a substantial temporary solution until the building work is completed.
“We wanted to be in for September but were very late in getting something organised, so Spaciotempo pulled us out of a hole really.
“They reacted extremely quickly to our brief. The showroom was up and running just three weeks after my initial phone call and the installation itself took just eight days.
“I believe projects like this usually take between six and eight weeks. But they turned the order around in half that time, which was phenomenal. It was a very smooth operation and extremely impressive.”
Mr Marchetti has also struck by the quality of the bespoke 500 sq m facility, which is 20m wide, 25m long and 4.2m high.
He added: “I expected we’d have to ‘make do’ for a while until our new development is completed, but the temporary building is actually better than our old permanent one.
“Audi demand certain standards for their showrooms and this certainly fits the bill. It’s surprisingly substantial and the fixtures and fittings are superb. It’s like a home from home.
“It keeps us operational during what we expect will be a particularly busy period. Enabling us to maintain the progress we’ve been making generally in recent months.
“The service we’ve received from Spaciotempo has been first class. From start to finish and I’d have no hesitation in recommending them for similar projects.”
Spaciotempo seal of approval
Spaciotempo account manager Natalie Balfour said the company had pulled out all the stops to meet a pressing mandate.
“We’ve provided similar temporary facilities for quite a number of businesses throughout the UK. However, I don’t think we’ve ever completed a project quite so quickly,” she said.
“The Lookers Audi dealership wanted to make sure the development of a new permanent building didn’t affect their operation.
“They needed a showroom and sales function along with additional facilities at very short notice. Therefore, we moved things around to reduce our reaction time.
“The feedback we’ve received from the project has been really positive. We’ve already received enquiries from two other dealerships as a result.”
Motherwell-based Ms Balfour was appointed Spaciotempo’s first Scotland specialist earlier this year. This was to boost a rapidly expanding customer base north of the border.
She added: “The upturn in new car sales in 2015 means many of businesses are looking to upgrade their showroom facilities.
“They might want a makeover or to take advantage of redundant space onsite. This would increase a vehicle display or improve customer facilities, offices, car valeting and servicing.
“But carrying out site development work while maintaining a consistent brand presence can be a real headache.
“Our temporary showrooms can solve this problem. Providing flexible and bespoke space with a wide range of configurations and options for as long as it’s needed, from as little as three months.”
Ms Balfour says the bespoke aspect of the buildings is an important added attraction.
She added: “They create a professional environment and can be fitted with features. This includes specialist lighting along with temperature and humidity controls.
“Both the interior and exterior can be personalised to fit in with branding. As they’re so quick to install, they’re perfect to meet seasonal demand.”
